The Role

The Membership Administrator works closely with the Local Village Organiser to support the efficient running of the local community minibus service. The role involves processing membership applications and renewals, as well as supporting the onboarding of new members, ensuring that all records are accurate and up to date.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact prospective members by telephone to explain the benefits of membership, available trips, and the process for joining the service.
  • Email or arrange delivery of membership application forms to prospective members.
  • Receive and process completed membership forms, ensuring any applicable membership fees are paid promptly.
  • Check that all forms are completed accurately, signed where required, and include emergency contact details before sharing them with the Local Village Coordinator.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership records.
  • Respond to enquiries from prospective and existing members in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Contact members as part of the annual membership renewal process, ensuring they are informed of any changes to membership fees.

Successful Membership Administrators will demonstrate:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • A confident and professional telephone manner.
  • Good IT skills, including the use of email and basic office software (desirable).
